Letter to the Editor

I strongly disagree with the decision to reduce public lands at Bears Ears and Grand Staircase. We the people have spoken out against these choices and do not feel heard by those who represent us. If a vote was taken on this issue, it would surely not pass. We are crying out to be heard; these lands raised us. They're where we turn to gain perspective on life. One cannot cuddle up with money at the end of the day, but we can sit under the stars and marvel at the beauty of these places. The decision to shrink public lands for use aside from preservation and exploration leads to a dangerous precedent. If here, then where else?

This decision blatantly ignores the voice of the people in the name of the gain of few. Please hear us, Sens. Hatch and Lee. We need to see that our voices matter, and we need hope that those we voted in will be our voice. Count my vote against this move, read the letters, please listen to those who gave you your seat.
