It’s almost time to witness the fall of the kingdom.
On Thursday, the first trailer for the upcoming “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” dropped online.
The trailer shows plenty of action, explosions and drama that will certainly make an impact at the box office when the film debuts on June 22, 2018.
The trailer shows the returning Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) speaking with Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) about why the two have to return to the island of dinosaurs seen in the preceding film, “Jurassic World.”
Once they arrive on the island, chaos breaks loose as a volcano erupts and dinosaurs are forced to flee.
The trailer also focuses heavily on Jeff Goldblum’s character Ian Malcolm, who starred in the original “Jurassic Park” film and the “Lost World” sequel. In April of this year, we first learned Goldblum would return to the franchise.
Mashable described the trailer as “every bit as dark and dino-tastic as promised.”
As Vox reported, the film offers director J.A. Bayona a chance to respond to the heavy criticism “Jurassic World” suffered from.
“At any rate, it’s definitely going be a chance for audiences to partake in the beloved summertime tradition of watching a Tyrannosaurus rex go absolutely bonkers on the people dumb enough to bring it back from extinction,” according to Vox.
