SALT LAKE CITY — Disney and Universal both under went significant changes this week in anticipation for the winter season.
Over the weekend, Disneyland transformed its Sleeping Beauty Castle into a holiday hotspot. Disney’s “Oh my Disney” blog shared a two-minute timelapse video of the transformation.
"You know it’s the holidays when Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland lights up the night sky! If you’re wondering how the iconic castle magically transforms into a wintery wonderland overnight — decked out with festive wreaths and glistening icicles, — the answer lies in this video," the blog wrote.
The castle dismantles the castle’s blue roofs and replaces it with a snow-capped version with twinkling lights.
Nearby, the Universal Studios resort’s Wizard World of Harry Potter area transformed for the holidays, too, adding a new Christmas show and holiday decorations. Butter beer and holiday meals were also made available, according to Forbes.
