Just a reminder as you spend time this holiday season with your family shopping or checking out the lights downtown, if you do decide to grab a bite to eat or get a cup of hot chocolate, please remember to tip your server. The person serving you is making a minimum of $2.13/hour and relies on tips to make a living.

I’ve heard from servers stories that make me cringe. Here’s one for you: A group of 25 people come into the restaurant for breakfast, receive great service, their bill is around $400 and they left a tip of $1.00.

Tips generally range from 10-20 percent, meaning this tip was 0.25 percent. Please be accountable for your holiday cheer by making sure you take care of those who take care of you.
