A pair of former college basketball players with ties to Utah received bad news on Thursday.

Former Utah guard Delon Wright injured his right shoulder Wednesday in the second quarter of the Toronto Raptors' game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

On Thursday, the Raptors announced Wright had dislocated his shoulder and offered no timetable for his return, only saying he would not be able to play Friday in Toronto's game against New York.

It's the same shoulder that Wright had surgery on in July 2016, which caused him to miss nearly four months.

In the G League, former BYU guard Tyler Haws was waived by the Wisconsin Herd, according to Chris Reichert, one day after he was picked up by the team in a player pool.

This is the second time in the young season that Haws has been cut by a G League team. He signed with the Delaware 87ers this offseason but did not make the regular-season roster.
