Utah State women's basketball (1-1) continues its homestand this week as it hosts Arizona (1-0) in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum on Friday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m.

All regular-season home and Mountain West games will continue to be broadcast as a USU Athletics Production on the Mountain West Network. Live stats and play-by-play information will be available through GameTracker, while updates will also be provided through the team’s social media outlets. Utah State women’s basketball games are also broadcast on the radio on 92.3 KBLU, with Jaden Johnson on the call. The games will be streamed on the air and online. Arizona makes the trip to Logan with a 1-0 record after opening the season in a 71-58 home win over Iona. The Wildcats also played two exhibition games, defeating both Eastern New Mexico (69-50) and Western New Mexico (80-36).

Last season, Arizona went 14-16 on the year, including a 5-13 record against Pac-12 opponents. The Wildcats return two starters and just three letterwinners from last season but welcome 10 newcomers to the roster. After one game, freshman guard Marlee Kyles leads the team in scoring with 17 points. Freshman forward Sam Thomas led in the rebound column with seven. Arizona is averaging 71.0 points per game, while allowing 58.0 points from its opponents. The Wildcats are shooting 44.0 percent (22-of-50) from the floor, 29.4 percent (5-of-17) from the 3-point line and 84.6 percent (22-of-26) from the free-throw line. Adia Barnes is in her second year as the head coach at Arizona.

Utah State leads the all-time series against Arizona, 8-5, including a 4-2 lead in games played in Logan. The series dates back to the 1972-73 season when both teams played in the Intermountain Athletic Conference. The series was renewed last year in an Arizona victory (61-57) in Tucson.

Sophomore guard Olivia West is the leading scorer for the Aggies, averaging 22.0 points per game. Sophomore guard/forward Shannon Dufficy is the top rebounder, averaging 11.0 boards per game. As a team, Utah State is shooting 48.9 percent (64-of-131) from the field, 37.0 percent (10-of-27) from the 3-point line and 67.9 percent (38-of-56) from the free-throw line.
