Wildcat Softball Complex will host the 2018 Big Sky Softball Championship.

Wildcat Softball Complex has been selected to serve as the host for the 2018 Big Sky Conference Softball Championships, league officials announced on Monday morning.

The championship will run May 10-12, with teams, game times and ticket information to be announced at a later date.

Entering its sixth year of softball competition in 2018, the Big Sky Conference office announced the first pre-determined site in the history of its softball championship with the previous regular season champion serving as host moving forward. Weber State captured regular season titles in 2016 and 2017, while Idaho State secured hosting rights from 2013-15 following three-straight regular season crowns.

The top-six conference teams at the conclusion of the regular season will advance to the three-day double elimination championship with the winner earning an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.

Wildcat Softball Field was constructed in 2009 and hosted its inaugural season in 2010. The facility holds a capacity for 1,000 fans. Permanent seating, a press box and digital scoreboard were added to the field in the summer of 2010. The symmetrical field sits 220 feet down the left and right field lines with a distance of 225 feet to the center field wall.
