SALT LAKE CITY — Utah’s favorite reality TV show aligns with an ongoing trend across the country.
CableTV recently ranked each state’s favorite reality TV show, including shows such as “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” “Mob Wives” and “Duck Dynasty.”
“Sister Wives” topped the list in Utah, according to the report.
This is the second year in a row that “Sister Wives” topped the Utah data, which was compiled using Google Trends.
“Utah may no longer be the home of 'Sister Wives,' but the state’s history with polygamy plays a large role in its popularity there,” according to the report.
Hometown pride proved to be a popular theme among television viewers. Shows such as “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” “Life of Kylie” and “Revenge Body With Khloe Kardashian” all led the way in California, while “Mob Wives,” which is set in Staten Island, led the way in New York.
Similarly, “Duck Dynasty” topped the list in Louisiana, where the show is based.
“Teen Mom,” “Big Brother,” “Jersey Shore” and “Survivor” were the most popular shows nationwide.
Romantic reality TV shows such as “The Bachelor” and “Bachelor in Paradise” were also popular across the country.
