THE TAKEAWAY

Once upon a time, the Utes ripped off the Miami Hurricanes’ “U” hand sign by doing something similar with their touchdown celebrations.

But now the undefeated Hurricanes are back with a vengeance, having added a special twist: a gold chain necklace that has Hurricane green and orange sapphires embedded in the “U” logo.

Players get to wear the chain immediately after creating a turnover.

Sources say Floyd Mayweather intends to have one made for himself, with the “U” standing for “undefeated.”
