Why do people keep saying “guns are so dangerous” and “guns are terrible and kill people?" I want to put an end to these thoughts and show really what is dangerous in the United States. Let’s start off with some statistics: In 2015, around 12,000 homicides involved guns. Out of those 12,000 people, 3 to 11 percent of those involved guns that were purchased legally. So in the end, roughly 90 percent or more of gun homicides came from an illegally acquired weapon. I don’t think that there’s a gun problem; I think that there’s a crime problem.
