For BYU ... The Cougars finally snapped their seven-game losing streak last week against San Jose State. Can they put together back-to-back wins?


For Fresno State ... The Bulldogs are coming off a 1-11 season in 2016. They’ve already won five games this season and are looking to become bowl eligible this week.

For BYU ... The Cougars haven’t won back-to-back regular-season games in almost one year. Their last road victory was at Cincinnati on Nov. 5, 2016.


Fresno State will win if ... The Bulldogs they win the turnover battle and shut down BYU’s run game.

BYU will win if ... The Cougars play aggressive, are efficient on third down opportunities and avoid big mistakes.


Jordan Mims, Fresno State running back: The freshman has rushed 81 times for 403 yards and three touchdowns. The Cougars will need to wrap up on him.


BYU's run game vs. Fresno State’s front seven: The Cougars could be short-handed at running back if KJ Hall isn’t available. Ula Tolutau may not be available. Squally Canada, Brayden El-Bakri and Riley Burt could get most of the carries Saturday.
