SALT LAKE CITY — As Utah defensive end Kylie Fitts prepares to face his old team for the final time Friday night at Rice-Eccles Stadium, his focus isn’t necessarily on UCLA.
“It’s been four years. What’s happened in the past has happened,” Fitts said. “I’m over it and I’m just taking it like every other game right now. I’m just trying to prepare and focus on our defense rather than the other team and fix the issues that we have going on.”
Fitts left the Bruins after playing for them in 2013 and joined the Utes. After sitting out a year because of NCAA transfer rules, he played 13 games for Utah in 2015 and just two in 2016 because of injury. Fitts received a medical hardship waiver for this season and has made 21 tackles with a team-high three sacks, thus far.
