The Wildcats keep moving up. After a big home win over nationally-ranked Montana, Weber State has moved up in the national polls.
The Wildcats are ranked 14th in the nation in this week’s FCS Coaches poll and 19th in the STATS poll. The 14th ranking is Weber State’s highest since 2009. WSU is 6-2 overall and 4-1 in Big Sky play following Saturday’s 41-27 win over Montana.
Coach Jay Hill’s Wildcats face another Big Sky showdown against a nationally-ranked team Saturday at No. 11 Eastern Washington. The Eagles are 5-3 overall and tied with Weber State at 4-1 in Big Sky play, and they are the highest ranked team in the Big Sky.
Northern Arizona is undefeated in conference play at 5-0 and is ranked 16th in the coaches poll and 18th in the STATS poll. Southern Utah is 17th in the STATS poll and 23rd in the coaches poll.
Kickoff on Saturday at Eastern Washington is at 2 p.m. MDT. Following Saturday, WSU will close out the regular season at Portland State on Nov. 11, and then at home against Idaho State on Nov. 18.
