Dixie State sophomore Jayce Frampton was named the Pacific West Conference Men's Golf Player of the Week on Thursday for his efforts in helping lead the Trailblazers to their team victory at the rain-shortened DSU Island Invitational played this past Monday at the Waikoloa Kings’ Course in Waikoloa Village, Hawai’i.

Frampton picked up his first collegiate tournament win as he fired consecutive rounds of 2-under 70 on Monday to earn medalist honors at minus-4 140. He was one of three Trailblazers to finish in the top five overall on the leaderboard as DSU won for the first time this fall season.

Dixie State returns to action this Friday and Saturday at the Hawai’i Hilo-hosted Dennis Rose Intercollegiate at the Waikoloa Beach Course.
