In my opinion, I am not a big fan of mail-in ballots for elections. I believe mail-in ballots reach out to a segment of the population that otherwise don't care to vote. Unfortunately, if laziness or apathy are the reasons they don’t go vote, it seems highly unlikely they would take the time to study the issues and candidates — which would make their vote a very dangerous, uneducated proposition. It also seems mail-in ballots open the door for a bunch of people to sign their ballots and then take them to “Uncle Charlie” so he can fill them all out any way he wants. Bottom line, I would rather have mail-in ballots available to people with legitimate reasons as to why they cannot go to a polling location, and not to the populace as a whole.
