It turned out to be a beautiful afternoon and one perfect for the fourth Region 8 boys golf tournament of the season at Thanksgiving Point on Tuesday.

It looks like home-course advantage was what helped motivate the boys from Skyridge as they took the top spot for the first time this year. Leading the way was Steven Peterson finishing with a 76. Teammates Porter Brackett, Tanner Davidson and Spencer Kimball helped the Falcons take first place with a team total of 321.

Springville came in second place with a team total of 336. Ryan Hollingshaus shot an impressive 75 to lead the way for the Red Devils. Jaxon Wilkinson finished with an 83 while teammates Isaac Englund and Mark Mabry both shot a pair of 89's.

The Wasps of Wasatch took third place led by Kellin Olsen's 78. Olsen was helped out by Jake Coopman's 87, Caleb Houser's 88 and Jack Holmes' 90. They finished with a team total of 343.

Timpanogos make a solid move up as a team securing the fourth-place spot with a team total of 347. Trey Anderson led the way with an 83. Teammates Canon Collins, Tacoma Parkinson and Derik Eaquinto helped the team out finishing with an 87, 88 and 89 respectively.
