Deseret News Rewind Live: Whip-around coverage of high school football

SALT LAKE CITY — There's a new way to follow high school football on Friday nights.

The Deseret News is debuting Deseret News Rewind Live today at 6:50 p.m., providing live footage from at least four games every week, with live score updates and analysis from around the state. Dusty Litster will host the show with the support of producer Vyncent Francis and the Deseret News.

"For last 5 years we’ve talked about a (NFL) RedZone style show together," Litster said. "We don’t know if there’a another product like that anywhere else.

"Bringing that Sunday experience to Friday night is some thing we wanted to do for a long time."

Litster and Dane Stewart have been calling high school games for the last 12 years, but it wasn't until they partnered with DeseretNews.com last season when things really got going.

"There were people who didn’t know we’ve been doing it since 2005," Litster said. "(Last year) was different. People loved that it was on Deseret News in a digital format, so they could watch on their phone."
