A 9-year-old contestant sunk the hearts of both the “America’s Got Talent” audience and judges.
Celine Tam, who was named after Celine Dion, just paid homage to her namesake with a cover of Dion’s Oscar-winning song, “My Heart Will Go On.”
Tam received a standing ovation from the crowd upon hitting the song’s high notes.
Harsh critic Simon Cowell smiled at the young singer.
Tam, who had already found success in both China and Hong Kong, embraced her talent after singing along to the song in a car ride with her dad, according to the South China Morning Post.
“When I was in the car, my dad’s driving and then suddenly I just sang 'My Heart Will Go On.' And then he was like ‘wow,’” she said, according to the South China Morning Post.
