Summer is fast approaching, which means cities and counties throughout Utah are preparing to hold annual festivals or fairs to celebrate their history and foundings. The following are some of the festivals and celebrations that families can look forward to in 2017.

Note: This list is not all-inclusive and only includes city festivals and celebrations. The list does not include July 4 and Pioneer Day celebrations unless the city heritage celebration falls during those dates.

Eagle Mountain Pony Express Days, May 29-June 3

Utah Scottish Festival and Highland Games, June 9-11

Brigham City Heritage Arts Festival, June 10

Pleasant Grove Strawberry Days, June 10-18

The longest running celebration in Utah, highlights include concerts, tea party at the Bungalow, carnival, rodeo, grand parade and fireworks (at the rodeo). See strawberrydays.org.

Jacob Hamblin Days (Kanab), June 15-17
