Now that spring football practices and the NFL draft are over, ESPN unveiled its Pac-12 post-spring power rankings. The University of Utah landed at sixth in the rankings.

Kyle Bonagura, who wrote the list, wrote of the Utes, "It feels like only a matter of time before the Utes break through and win the Pac-12 South, but they’re facing an uphill climb next year considering they must replace eight NFL draft picks – the most in the Pac-12 – and defensive end Hunter Dimick. New offensive coordinator Troy Taylor was an intriguing hire and should breathe life into the Utes’ passing game."

Hayward's future with the Jazz

John Gonzalez of The Ringer wrote an article recapping Gordon Hayward's 2016-17 season with the Utah Jazz, which included his performance in a charity tennis tournament, the "Stayward" billboard campaign and the Jazz's success on the court.

"The locals love ’em, the front office has labored to put ’em together, but could this be the first and last we’re seeing of this Utah team? With Golden State on the horizon, playoff excitement and offseason nerves are in abundance in Salt Lake, and it’s all focused on one man: All-Star free agent–to-be Gordon Hayward," wrote Gonzalez.
