Real Salt Lake midfielder Luke Mulholland (19) embraces Real Salt Lake defender Aaron Maund (21) after their first goal of the night during the game against the Los Angeles Galaxy at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy Saturday, March 18, 2017. Real Salt Lake lost 2-1.

After going scoreless in its first two matches, Real Salt Lake found the back of the net 19 minutes into its 2-1 defeat to the L.A. Galaxy Saturday night at Rio Tinto Stadium.

The goal came off a header by striker Yura Movsisyan, who received a bullet cross from Albert Rusnak near the center of the box. Unfortunately for RSL, L.A. scored twice in the second half to come away with its first win of the season.

The momentum shifted away from RSL after captain Kyle Beckerman received his second yellow card of the game, ensuing in a game-ejecting red card in the 44th minute.

The Galaxy connected on a Romain Alessandrni corner kick to David Romney in the 70th minute.

Just a few minutes, later Emmanuel Boateng scored on a failed RSL clearance in the box.

RSL will continue to search for its first win of the season March 25 when visiting the New York Red Bulls.

Here are player grades for each Real Salt Lake player in RSL's 2-1 loss to the L.A. Galaxy Saturday night.

Nick Rimando (5)

Rimando allowed two goals for the second consecutive game. He did save one goal that came off a dangerous header from Jermaine Jones.

Tony Beltran (6)

Although he may have been physically outmatched in nearly every battle he faced on the pitch, a feisty Beltran still won battles and headers to help RSL.

Justin Schmidt (5.5)

Schmidt won several headers and may have been the most stalwart defender in the game for RSL.

Demart Phillips (4)

Phillips didn’t make much noise in the game until he failed to clear the ball on a sequence that led to L.A.’s second goal.

Chris Schuler (5)

Schuler’s long legs got in the way of several L.A. lead passes, but still couldn’t help RSL maintain its one goal lead.

Kyle Beckerman (3)

Beckerman was ejected from the game in the 44th minute, forcing his team to play man down the rest of the way. RSL allowed both goals with Beckerman out of the game.

Albert Rusnak (6)

Rusnak set up Yura Movsisyan’s goal with a quick cross into the center of the box. He also had shot on goal in a solid offensive outing.

Luke Mulholland (5.5)

Mulholland was a fireball, disrupting the L.A. counterattack and playing physically all over the field. Unfortunately, was involved in an altercation that resulted in a yellow card for himself and Beckerman.

Sebastian Saucedo (5.5)

In his second career start, Saucedo delivered an excellent cross to Brooks Lennon early in the game and was very creative on his wing position.

Brooks Lennon (5.5)

The youngster showed off speed, catching up to long lead passes and also served a nice cross to Chad Barrett in the second half that couldn’t find the back of the net.

Yura Movsisyan (7)

Movsisyan scored RSL’s first, and so far only, goal of the season on a quick cross from Rusnak. He couldn’t seem to find much of a rhythm afterwards, though.

Chad Barrett (5)

Barrett subbed in for Movsisyan in the 66th minute, and couldn’t cash in on a nice cross by Lennon that would have given RSL the lead once again.

Luis Silva (N/A)

Subbed in for Phillps in the 79th minute

Ricardo Velazco (N/A)

Subbed in for Saucedo in the 80th minute
