While being the underdog in the NCAA Tournament may bring more cheers your way, the odds are stacked against you.

What mentality does it take to find success against a favored opponent? For teams like No. 16 South Dakota State, No. 15 North Dakota, No. 10 VCU and No. 8 Northwestern (a one-point underdog), they'll need to find those answers when West Region action kicks off at Vivint Arena Thursday.
