Real Salt Lake's first two SuperDraft picks are officially in the fold.
The team announced Wednesday it has signed first-round selection Reagan Dunk and second-round pick Justin Schmidt.
Both defenders, Dunk was taken with the 13th overall pick in the draft, while Schmidt was selected 35th.
A University of Denver product, Dunk was a First Team All-American in 2016 after finishing a career with the Pioneers that saw him tally two goals and 18 assists.
Schmidt scored nine goals with 19 assists in his career at the University of Washington and received First-Team All-Pac-12 honors his senior season with the Huskies.
Both players appear on the team's first roster.
"Our scouting of Reagan and Justin goes back quite a bit and we made no bones about it that they were the two players we targeted going into the draft," general manager Craig Waibel said in a statement. "Neither one of them has disappointed and ultimately they both deserve this opportunity."
RSL will open the 2017 season on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Rio Tinto Stadium against Toronto FC.
The team will be looking to return to the playoffs after missing out in 2016.
