Max Hagan, a student and tutor, works on some problems in the peer tutoring area of the Dumke Center for STEM Learning following a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Salt Lake Community College in Taylorsville on Wednesday. The new collaborative space is located in the college's Science and Industry Building. The center staff is committed to preparing students to reach their full potential by providing tutoring services and hands-on workshops in science, technology, engineering and mathematics that are designed to help build self-confidence, expand critical-thinking skills and become lifelong active learners.
