More than 600 elementary students, primarily from charter and private schools in Davis and Salt Lake counties, spent part of their school day watching professional basketball. They were on hand for Wednesday's NBA D-League game between the Salt Lake City Stars and Los Angeles D-Fenders at SLCC's Lifetime Activities Center. The Stars dropped a 103-100 decision in a game that tipped off at 11 a.m. Discovery Gateway and STEM Action Center Utah led educational segments during the contest.
