Actor LeVar Burton will speak at RootsTech 2017.

RootTech announced Wednesday that LeVar Burton will be a keynote speaker at their upcoming family history conference in Salt Lake City.

Burton is known for his work as the narrator in PBS kids "Reading Rainbow," as Geordi La Forge in "Star Trek: The Next Generation," and as Kunta Kinte in television drama "Roots".
