HIGHLAND — The J. Wesley Foundation, dedicated to teen suicide prevention and outreach, will host a benefit concert Sept. 23, 7 p.m., at Mountain Ridge Junior High, 5525 W. 10400 North in Highland.

Jason Lyle Black, know as "The Backwards Piano Man," will be the featured artist.

The goal of the The J. Wesley Foundation is to give away one piano and one college scholarship to deserving young artists, according to information from the organization. The foundation was created to continue the legacy of Jon Wesley "Wes" Buckner, who died March 28, 2015. The mission of the foundation is to support musically minded youth and help children pursue their dreams of playing and composing music, according to the foundation website.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.
