The NBA D-League is one step closer to coming to Utah, as the 48-game regular season schedule for the Salt Lake City Stars was released on Monday.
The team, which serves as the Utah Jazz’s D-League affiliate and was formerly known as the Idaho Stampede, will open play Nov. 12 on the road against the Sioux Falls Skyforce. The regular season concludes April 1 with a road contest against the Los Angeles D-Fenders.
The Stars’ home opener is Nov. 18 against the Northern Arizona Suns. The Stars’ home games will be played at the Lifetime Activities Center on the campus of Salt Lake Community College in Taylorsville.
On Sept. 24, the Stars will hold a local tryout at the LAC. The application for the tryout can be found here.
Over the past few seasons, the Jazz have called up a number of players from the D-League, and their current roster has three players who have seen time in the league, Rudy Gobert, Chris Johnson and Tibor Pleiss.
