SALT LAKE CITY — The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced summer open house and dedication dates for temples in Philadelphia, Japan and Germany.

The Sapporo Japan Temple open house will run from July 8 through 23, except on Sundays (July 10 and 17). Following a cultural celebration on Aug. 20, there will be three dedication sessions on Aug. 21 at 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m.

The open house for the newly renovated Freiberg Germany Temple will take place from Aug. 12 through 27, excluding the Sundays on Aug. 14 and 21. A cultural celebration is scheduled for Sept. 3, with three rededication sessions at 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m. the next day, Sunday, Sept. 4. The sessions will be broadcast to church meetinghouses in Germany as well as to members living in the temple district.

The Philadelphia Pennsylvania Temple will host an open house from Aug. 10 through Sept. 9, except on Sundays during that time. A cultural celebration has been planned for the evening of Sept. 17, with three dedicatory sessions at 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m. on Sept. 18.

The announcement, made Thursday, comes as the First Presidency prepares to rededicate the renovated Suva Fiji Temple on Feb. 21 and the Provo City Center Temple on March 20.
