Oregon State Beavers forward Jarmal Reid (32) is called for a flagrant foul after tripping the ref and ejected during Pac-12 play in Salt Lake City Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016. Utah won 59-53.

The Utes took their first lead of Sunday’s basketball game after a trip-up by Oregon State — literally.

With 2:56 remaining, the Beavers’ Jarmal Reid appeared to purposely stick out his leg, toppling referee Tommy Nunez. The result was a Flagrant 2, allowing Utah to go on to win.

What’s up with the Utes that makes people want to punch and trip?

Maybe it was the press conference, last week, where they hinted they were worried about getting punched and tripped.
