Brigham Young Cougars QB McCoy Hill (17) runs against Savannah State Tigers in Provo Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014.

The BYU football team will be down at least one quarterback with the last name Hill next season.

Star signal-caller Taysom Hill hasn't announced what his future plans are, but seldom-used sophomore backup McCoy Hill will be transferring to Southern Utah University.

Hill declared his intentions on Instagram.

The Jordan High graduate appeared in just one game over two seasons at BYU, going 2-of-2 for 27 yards and rushing for another 27 yards against Savannah State in 2014.
