Hundreds of Utah’s faithful convened Saturday for an “interactive preview” of the 2015 Parliament of the World’s Religions, which Salt Lake City will host this October.

World Religions

In 2002, Salt Lake City welcomed the world for the Winter Olympics. This Fall, Salt Lake will welcome the world's religions. The Parliament of the World’s Religions will be the first one held in the U.S. in 22 years.

Brian Birch is the director of the Religious Studies Program at Utah Valley University and is coordinating student involvement that week with the Parliament. He explained to Dave McCann what people can expect to see and experience during the summit.

Life in Full

Eighty million Baby Boomers are now in or approaching their 60s and moving into retirement. While this transition may be difficult, the succeeding years can be fulfilling and invigorating, according to authors Richard and Linda Eyre, who have written a new book called "Life in Full."

McCann talked to them about planning for those years.
