Despite all the excitement with soccer camps and the holiday weekend, the BYU men’s soccer team has its next game in its sights.
BYU plays host to Burlingame at South Field at 7:30 on Saturday for the annual Fourth of July game.
The Cougars are excited to put the two losses to Las Vegas last weekend behind them and play on a day that has become a tradition for them.
“We love playing at home each Fourth of July. Our players will put on a great event and watching the fireworks from our stadium is almost as good as being at the Stadium of Fire,” head coach Chris Watkins said.
Burlingame comes to Provo in second place in the Southwest division. The Cougars, who are fifth in the Mountain division, head to Burlingame next Saturday to finish the series.
Fans who come to the game are welcome to stay for the fireworks show after. Nearby event Stadium of Fire will have a fireworks show that fans will be able to see from South Field.
