Utah pianist Paul Cardall’s “40 Hymns for Forty Days” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s New Age Albums chart. The Piano Guys’ “Wonders” is No. 2, and “Romantic Spanish Guitar, Vol. 2” by Armik is No. 3.

“40 Hymns for Forty Days” includes piano arrangements of 40 hymns and church songs, including several from the repertoire of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Cardall is not a stranger to the top of the New Age charts. One of his previous albums, "New Life," reached the top of the Billboard New Age Albums chart after its release in 2011.

Cardall had a congenital heart disease and received a heart transplant in 2009.

“40 Hymns for Forty Days” is his 15th album.
