SALT LAKE CITY — University of Utah quarterback Adam Schulz, who appeared in eight games over the past three seasons and made three starts for the Utes in 2013, is transferring to Houston.

Utah coach Kyle Whittingham made the announcement Monday.

Schulz, who earned a scholarship after arriving on campus as a walk-on and spending his first season as a redshirt, completed 79-of-158 passes for 1,091 yards with six touchdowns and five interceptions during his career with the Utes.

The former Muskego (Wisconsin) High School standout started in place of the injured Travis Wilson in the final three games of 2013.
