FILLMORE — The Territorial Statehouse Museum will mark the anniversary of Utah receiving statehood and host its annual Statehood Celebration and dance next month.

This formal dance is held on Saturday, Jan. 3, the night before Statehood Day, and begins at 7 p.m. with a family dance at the museum, 50 W Capital Ave. Young dancers and families then watch as youths perform a Grand March at 8:30 p.m.

Youths are invited to wear their best attire, as the pioneers did for celebrations. After the Grand March, the youths fill up their dance cards and are set for the evening. No dance experience is needed.
