Competitor Charlie Clark paddled to victory, potentially setting a world record for paddling a pumpkin 100 yards, according to the Utah Giant Pumpkin Growers Facebook page, Saturday. He was one of the competitors who gathered to race their pumpkins, weighing from 600 to 1,200 pounds, across the pond at Sugarhouse Park, during the 4th Annual Ginormous Pumpkin Regatta. Some successfully rowed the distance while others met a soggy demise.
