Taylor Kirk's first half goal nearly stood up for Utah Valley University, but Boise State got the equalizer in the 86th minute in a 1-1, double-OT draw on Sunday afternoon at Clyde Field.

Coupled with Friday's 2-1 win over Baylor, the Wolverines (1-2-1) were unbeaten in two matches to open the 2014 home schedule.

Kirk scored in the 35th minute, on an assist from Melanie Ostler, when her shot glanced off the left post and in from 10 yards out. That score held for more than 50 minutes, until Kelli Drobney knotted it at 1-1 with just over four minutes left in regulation.

In the overtime periods, neither team garnered much in the way of offense. The Broncos (1-2-1) had the only shot during the 20 minutes of extra time. Utah Valley goalkeeper Jessica Duffin finished with six saves on the night, while Bailey Anderson had one save for Boise State.

The Wolverines continue their seven-game home stand with a contest on Friday, Sept. 5 at 7:30 p.m. MT against Wyoming. The lone in-state game at home for UVU will be the following Monday, Sept. 8, against Southern Utah, also at 7:30 p.m. MT.
