SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz announced the signing of one player, and the announcement of another player signing is expected to come later this week.

Brock Motum, a 6-foot-10, 245-pound forward, who played in the NBA Summer League with the Jazz, signed a deal, but terms were not announced, per team policy.

Also several sources are reporting that Toure’ Murry, who played with the New York Knicks last year, has agreed to a free agent deal with the Jazz. That official announcement should come Thursday, said one source.

Motum, who played collegiately at Washington State and twice played against the University of Utah, spent the 2013-14 season with Granarolo Bologna of the Italian League, where he averaged 8.3 points and 3.3 rebounds while shooting 50.6 percent from the field.

During the Summer League with the Jazz, Motum, a native of Australia, appeared in five games and averaged 8.0 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.

In his one appearance in Utah in 2012, Motum scored 27 points and had eight rebounds in a 62-60 loss. The following season he had 14 points in a 75-65 victory over Utah in Pullman. As a senior in 2012-13, Motum led the Pac-12 in scoring at 18.7 points per game.

Murry, a 6-5 guard, appeared in 51 games for the Knicks last year, averaging 2.7 points and 1.0 assists per game. He was a four-year starter at Wichita State from 2008-12 and averaged 11.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists in four years.

Earlier this month, the Jazz announced signings of free agents Dee Bost, Kevin Murphy and Jack Cooley. The aforementioned players will attend Jazz camp, but many of them could end up playing for Idaho, Utah’s affiliate in the NBA D-League.
