Fans can get their first glimpse at the 2014 Utah Valley University fall sports squads at two Meet the Team Nights spanning both UVU campuses. The Wolverines will host events at the UVU Wasatch Campus in Heber City as well as at the main campus in Orem.

Utah Valley men's and women's soccer hosts the first event in Heber City on Aug. 19, while a second Meet the Team Night, which will include cross-country and volleyball, is scheduled for Aug. 26 in Orem. Both nights, which are free and open to the public, will feature food, games, autographs, picture opportunities and an appearance by Willy the Wolverine from 6-8 p.m.

Making the short trip to Heber City are the men's and women's soccer programs. It will be fans' first chance to interact with the men's soccer team — the only NCAA Division I men's soccer program in Utah — before it makes its competitive debut on Aug. 30 against UMass. Meanwhile, the Wolverine women's soccer squad will be preparing for its season opener at Portland State only three days later on Aug. 22.

A week after appearing in Heber City, men's and women's soccer will be joined by the cross-country and volleyball programs for a second event at Clyde Field in Orem on Aug. 26. The expanded occasion will allow the Wolverine faithful a chance to meet the volleyball team, under the tutelage 15-year head coach Sam Atoa, and the reigning WAC champion men's cross-country squad.

The 2014 fall season kicks off the 12th Division I season for Utah Valley Athletics, not to mention the second full year for the Wolverines as a member of the Western Athletic Conference.
