WEST VALLEY CITY — Two people were arrested and police were searching for two others Friday after their vehicle crashed into a house early Friday.

Just after 1 a.m., an officer in the area of 2952 W. 3325 South spotted a vehicle with four occupants that was driving slow and appeared to be looking at other cars and houses, said West Valley Police Lt. Dalan Taylor. The officer attempted to pull the vehicle over, but as soon as he activated his red and blue lights, the vehicle sped away, he said.

The officer barely had time to inform dispatchers of the fleeing vehicle when the car ran a stop sign, missed a turn, went through a yard and crashed into a house, Taylor said.

Two adults and two juveniles in the vehicle got out and ran. One 19-year-old man was caught immediately. One of the juveniles, believed to be the driver, later returned to the scene and was taken into custody.

Tarrance Cooper was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of fleeing.

No one inside the house was injured.

Officers continued to search for the other two occupants Friday. Anyone with information on them can call police at 801-840-4000.
