SOUTH SALT LAKE — Nick Gosdis has been named South Salt Lake’s Citizen of the Year for 2014.
Gosdis will be honored during the Freedom Festival and 4th of July Parade, as well as the State of the City address.
“This year Gosdis was selected for his selfless devotion to other citizens and people in need,” South Salt Lake Mayor Cherie Wood said. “He shovels snow for those in need on his street, cleans up graffiti for property owners who would struggle to do so, and is a champion for his neighborhood and for others throughout the city.”
Wood said Gosdis also takes dozens of cookies to Primary Children's Hospital every Valentine's Day and donates to Christmas gift programs throughout the Salt Lake Valley.
