The Disney theme park staple, "It's a Small World," can be found in every Disney theme park around the world, and the attraction will soon have its own feature film.

Deadline announced this week that the movie studio hired Jon Turteltaub to direct the movie based on the park ride. Jared Stern pitched the idea, wrote the script and will help produce the film with Dan Lin, producer of "The Lego Movie."

The announcement accompanies the 50th anniversary of the ride, which was first featured at the New York World's Fair. This month the Mormon Tabernacle Choir participated in a worldwide sing-a-long to the popular tune.
