The Utah Valley University women's golf team ended the BYU at Entrada Classic with a 15th-place finish on Tuesday. The 54-hole tournament was contested at the Entrada Snow Canyon Country Club in St. George.

The Wolverines earned the 15th-place finish after tallying a 997 at the three round tournament. Minnesota won the field by shooting a 931, while host BYU took second (939) and No. 42 Wisconsin placed third (942). Minnesota's Anna Laorr and Wisconsin's Alexis Nelson shared individual tournament medalist honors as they tied for the tournament lead at 6-over-par.

Junior Hannah Herman led UVU at the tournament by tying for 48th place with a +31 (247). After carding rounds of 84 and 77 on Monday, Herman finished the tournament by shooting a 14-over 86 on Tuesday. Redshirt freshman Kimberly Nyhus was next for the Wolverines as she tied for 58th at 36-over-par (252). Nyhus shot rounds of 76, 80 and 90 during the Classic.

Junior Brooke Whittaker, who leads the Wolverines in scoring average on the season, was UVU's third finisher as she tied for 60th with a 253 (+37). Whittaker finished off her tournament by firing an 85 on Tuesday after tallying scores of 83 and 85 on Monday. Fellow junior Heather Mathison and freshman Monica Yeates rounded out Utah Valley's five competitors by putting up respective scores of 259 (81, 96, 82) and 266 (86, 82, 98). Mathison's 259 was good enough for 71st place while Yeates finished in 79th.

After competing in two tournaments in the past six days, UVU will now be off until April 7 when it will head to Maricopa, Ariz., to take part at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic that will be held at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club. The WAC Championships will then be contested April 25-27 in Mesa, Ariz.
