SALT LAKE CITY — An organization that specializes in collecting and preserving personal life stories is hosting an event to kick off its new foundation.

The public launch of the Life Story Library Foundation will take place at the Marriott University Park Hotel, located at 480 Wakara Way in Salt Lake City, on Tuesday, March 4 at 9 a.m. The event will serve to initiate the organization's plans to raise funds and full-scale operations to gather, preserve and share personal life stories in 2014. The meeting will also recognize key supporters, sponsors and other partners.

The Life Story Library Foundation is an independent, public charity that encourages people in all walks of life to leave their mark, according to a press release.
