The fourth-ranked Westminster College women’s basketball team won a fourth straight Frontier Conference game with a 74-56 win at Great Falls on Friday night at the McLaughlin Center.

Shelby Ellsworth notched her first double-double of the season with 14 points and 12 rebounds. The Westminster (10-2, 4-0 Frontier) forward went 5-of-7 from the field and made both of her 3-point attempts. Ellsworth also recorded three steals and three blocked shots in the win.

The Griffins shot 49.1 percent from the field and made seven of their 15 attempts from beyond the arc. They tallied 16 assists on 26 made field goals with a 40-25 edge on the glass. Westminster limited Great Falls (11-7, 1-4) to 35.1 percent shooting and forced 12 turnovers.

Alli Blake led the Griffins with 16 points and five assists. She was 6-of-9 shooting and also collected eight rebounds. Kelsi Wells had three treys and finished with 15 points. Tia Pappas added nine points with Amy Krommenhoek scoring seven points off the bench.

Great Falls was led by 16 points and 12 rebounds from Lindsey Abramson. Darah Huertas-Vining had 13 points, and Erin Legel chipped in 10.

Westminster is back in action Saturday when it travels to Havre, Mont., for a top 25 showdown at 18th-ranked Montana State-Northern. The action from Armory Gymnasium will tip at 6 p.m. MST.
