TAYLORSVILLE — The city will celebrate its 17th birthday with Taylorsville Dayzz June 27-29.

The event will have new features including hot air balloon rides and a movie in the park on Thursday evening.

The Taylorsville Dayzz 5K is on Saturday, June 29, beginning at 7:15 a.m. The course will be around Valley Regional Park and adjacent neighborhoods. The start/finish line will be west of the Taylorsville Pool. Registration is $10, and runners can register at taylorsvilleut.gov or see the second-floor receptionist at City Hall. There will be no day of race registrations.

Registrations prior to June 24 receive a free T-shirt. Registrants after June 24 will be charged an extra $5 for the T-shirt. Pick up shirts and bib numbers at Taylorsville Dayzz events Thursday or Friday evening from 5-9 p.m. at a booth at Valley Regional Park, 5100 South and 2700 West.
