SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster College women's soccer team unveiled the schedule for the 2012 season on Monday. The Griffins will play nine home games this season, including the first four games of the year.

The Griffins will begin the year with an exhibition game against Utah Valley in Orem on August 13. The first of the four home games comes next on August 24 against Avila (Mo.). Other key non-conference home games include the College of Idaho on August 26 and Cal State San Marcos on October 5.

Westminster will open Frontier Conference play at Dumke Field on September 3 against Great Falls. The Griffins will play at Carroll on September 30 with the Saints visiting Salt Lake City on October 8. The games with Rocky are October 14 at Dumke Field and October 20 in Billings. The game in Great Falls is slated for October 21.

The Griffins also have a tough road slate during the 2012 schedule. They play two teams that qualified for the NAIA National Championships starting on September 7 against Westmont. The season ends with a game against Texas at Brownsville on October 28.

The Frontier Conference is competing with teams from the TranSouth Athletic Conference this year. The postseason tournament will take place November 8-10 at a location to be determined. The NAIA National Championships will begin on campus sites for the Opening Round on November 17. The final site is Orange Beach, Ala., with games being played November 26 – December 1.
