The setting sun shines through the smoke near Fairview, Sanpete County, on Saturday, June 23, 2012. The Wood Hollow Fire has burned more than 10,000 acres and forced the overnight evacuation of 200 homes.

PRICE — Firefighters Tuesday began battling a blaze near Manti-La Sal National Forest on Seeley Mountain.

Police have closed Huntington Canyon, but are leaving Fairview Canyon open for the evacuation of residents. A historic guard station is in danger, but no structures have been threatened.

The fire that was thought to be started by lightning has burned 70 acres and has not been contained, according to U.S. Forest Service spokeswoman Rosann Fillmore.

An estimated 100 girls who were camping near Miller's Flat Reservoir were evacuated to a Fairview LDS stake center, as a precaution, Fillmore said.
