Clara Lewis applauds her heroes, Davis County Sheriff's Office paramedics Jason Sorenson, far left, Todd Richardson, Shane Archibald and Brent Peters, far right, at an awards ceremony honoring Utah's emergency responders at the Utah Capitol on Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Special recognition was given to those who responded to the accident involving Lewis last November when the van she was in was hit by a FrontRunner train. When Archibald and Sorenson discovered Lewis' airway was restricted, they used a pre-hospital rapid sequence intubation program that they had recently been trained in, likely saving her life.
